We're a small type foundry obsessed with one thing: giving metal bands, labels and designers typefaces as loud and uncompromising as the music itself.
Type design, built loud on purpose.
Heavy Metal Fonts started with a simple frustration: mainstream font marketplaces just weren't built for metal, hardcore and punk visuals. Generic "grunge" fonts and overused freeware just didn't hit hard enough.
So we started drawing our own — letterforms with weight, aggression and character, designed specifically for album covers, band logos, merch and posters. What began as one font for a friend's band turned into a full type foundry serving thousands of designers worldwide.
Every typeface we release still goes through the same process: sketched by hand, refined obsessively, and tested in the wild on real album art and real merch drops before it ever reaches the store.
